“An amazing tour that gave us an in depth look at the small components of life in Jerusalem. It was very special to learn and see different cultures and religious experiences and share special foods from the region.”

Eden Goldberger, spouse of US Ambassador to Egypt

“The chefs for peace was a highlight. This non political group of chefs were each special and devoted in their own way. We had the opportunity to explore the souk with an Armenian chef, a Palestinian chef and a Jewish chef, where we picked up all sorts of local produce. It was fascinating hearing about their backgrounds, discussing food and then going to a restaurant kitchen and preparing a sumptuous dinner from what we had sourced.

We also visited the home of a Palestinian family in Beit Safafa where we met a wonderful woman and her three delightful, polite, intelligent and hospitable children. We heard her story and as simplistic as it may seem now, hearing her say she was a mother of three children (as I am), she had the same aspirations for her children as I did for mine, and I felt if politics were left to the female population, perhaps there could be a peace.”
